The Mysteries of the Louvre (options for free admittance)

Unlimited access to the Louvre changes from year to year. For twenty years or so the Louvre was one of the many institutions that were listed on the museum gratuity sheet that comes with a Cite Internationale des Arts Identity card. The public has free access to the Louvre on the first Sunday of every month.... but what about those who want to avoid the crowds - or who need access more often to pursue their research?

The French government has decided to cultivate future lovers of the arts by reimbursing museums for those it deems worthy of such investment. Visit this link to review practical information regarding free admission to the Louvre.
